Development (45 seconds):

"Let me share a specific example. Two years ago, I enrolled in a digital marketing course at my local community college in Toronto. Despite working full-time, I attended classes twice a week from 7 to 9 PM. Initially, it was challenging to balance work and studies, but the flexible schedule allowed me to apply what I learned immediately at my job. This experience taught me that evening education fits perfectly into a working person's life. Additionally, I met other professionals from different industries, which expanded my network significantly. As a result, I received a promotion within six months of completing the course."

Conclusion (13 seconds):

"Based on this experience, I firmly believe that evening classes offer the perfect balance of professional development and work-life management. That's why I always recommend them to my colleagues who want to advance their careers."

When to Use This Framework

Use this framework for Speaking Task 2 prompts that ask for your personal opinion, recommendation, or advice based on your own experiences. It works particularly well when the question includes phrases like "Do you think..." "What would you recommend..." or "Share your opinion about..."

Delivery Tips

Start strong: Open with confidence and speak slightly slower in the first sentence to establish your pace
Use narrative pacing: When sharing your story, vary your speed—slow down for important details, speed up for transitions
Emphasize key moments: Use rising intonation when introducing your example ("Let me share...") and falling intonation for conclusions
Watch your timing: Aim for 60-70 seconds total, leaving a few seconds buffer to avoid being cut off mid-sentence
